Last year the kids and I participated in Toddler Approved's monthly linky: Virtual Book Club for Kids . The idea is to read a book by the assigned monthly author, do activities related to the book, and do a blog post about it. It is designed for young children ages 1-6, but we found it very fun to see how creative we could get with simple picture books at our age level ... around grades 3 to 4. It is possible! We read some new authors last year and just had a lot of fun with it!
