Weekly Wrap-Up ~ The School Room is Complete!

On Wednesday I got our school room put together. I feel incredibly blessed that we have a large playroom upstairs that has allowed me to set up an actual classroom. I know that it will benefit both Dawson and me.

This week I bought desk lamps, a large world map and school supplies.

We moved in the bookcase, and hung the dry erase board and bulletin board, and added a little personalization.

That's "Robby" hanging out on top of the shelves, to give Dawson some inspiration.

The pillow is for Dawson's best bud, Crusoe, to rest on while we're doing work.

The books and binders and baskets and supplies are on the shelves.

The next step will be to finish "setting up" the desks. Dawson needs a desktop supply organizer and I need, ever-so-badly, some cute coordinating desk accessories! I'll probably add that later after we get a feel for our new space.



All that's left to do is hang our "clotheslines" for artwork. They will go above the bulletin board and below the dry erase board.

I'm getting so excited! I think Dawson might even be a little impressed with his new work area.

We also have an office downstairs that my husband and I share. We each have our own desk with laptop computers. When Dawson and I are needing to do computer work, this will be a nice place to do it as well.

All of our supplies are stored in the closet in the downstairs office. You can go here to see that storage.

Update: We have added our artwork clotheslines and a globe I bought at a garage sale for 50 cents! More desktop organizational supplies have been added, as well.
