We are done! We are done with school and ready to take our Spring Break.
The Past Week in our Regular Life
It was a very quiet week at home filled with laundry, packing, cleaning, and the norm. The Schooling Basics
When I say schooling basics, I mean we did the basics! Our biggest focus was on math and reading this week, while continuing with science.Math - In Math U See Gamma we finished Lesson 28 multiplying 3-digit numbers by 3-digit numbers. The kids have definitely mastered multiplication. Check! In Mastering 5th Grade Math - Fractions, we learned how to rename fractions. I have been dreading teaching fractions but they have picked it up easily. We think Jason is a fabulous teacher! And in our CTC Math program the kids completed the first set of lessons in 4th grade division. They have one more set of lessons in 4th grade and then I think we will move onto 5th grade division. Again, the program teaches it so well and they are whizzing through it!
Reading - We finished Papa and the Leprechaun King and are now reading The Raft. Eli and Brynne continue to read for 30 minutes to an hour each day.
The Schooling Fun Stuff
Other than going to our Lewis and Clark class at the library, we didn't do any extras this week. Our main focus was just to do the things we knew we needed to do and be done with it!
