The Week Ahead

This is going to be a crazy, busy week! Eli has Cub Scout day camp everyday from 8:30 - 3:30 p.m. about 30 minutes away from where we live. He and I will be up at the crack of dawn every day and totally exhausted by the time we get home. Meals will be super easy because we will be super tired!

Monday
Schoolwork: Eli camp/Brynne reading and computer game review
Housework: Vacuum as soon as we get home from camp
Dinner: Pick up a pizza
Activities: Brynne has a softball game in a different town 30 minutes away

Tuesday
Schoolwork: Eli camp/Brynne reading and computer game review
Housework: Clean the bathrooms
Dinner: Turkey burgers and veggie crisps
Activities: Mow the yard and then die on the couch

Wednesday
Schoolwork: Eli camp/Brynne reading and computer game review
Housework: Dust
Dinner: Chicken quesadillas
Activities: Really die on the couch

Thursday
Schoolwork: Eli camp/Brynne reading and computer game review
Housework: Tidy up
Dinner: Hot dogs and chips
Activities: Yeah, I think we will be dying

Friday
Schoolwork: Eli and Brynne camp (it's Family Day)
Housework: Nothing
Dinner: Burritos for dad's birthday
Activities: Brynne has another softball game and then afterwards we are going to go to the Dairy Queen for treats to celebrate Rick's birthday.

Saturday
Schoolwork: Done for the week!
Housework: Vacuum and laundry
Dinner: Hmmmm .... Rick's choice
Activities: Hopefully we will just be hanging out at home, doing some relaxing!

Sunday
Schoolwork: Mom get lesson plans done for the next week
Housework: None!
Dinner: Working on a Father's Day dinner.
Activities: It's Father's Day!! Daddy will be watching the US Open and we will be letting him!

I imagine that blogging will be few and far between this week. But, I hope to give a Wrap-up!

Eli's reading resource teacher shared a website with me yesterday that I would like to pass along. It's called ABCya . There are separate educational sections with fantastic games for ages kindergarten through 5th grade. I browsed the 2nd grade level, and it includes age-appropriate games about Letters, Numbers, Shapes, Geometry, Patterns, Mouse Manipulation, Art and Holiday games. There are lots and lots of fun and creative games for children to play. They are fun, but oh, so educational. Eli's favorite, in his short time playing it, was Create a Car . A lot of the games also have Apps available for purchase (99 cents for most of them) for the iPad and iPhone. I have been looking for another free website for games similar to Starfall , for some time. I think I have found it. I can feel confident having Eli and Brynne play these games.

Cells ~ It's What's for Dinner

Dawson made edible cells on Friday. He made an animal cell pizza ... and a plant cell chocolate chip cookie ... He reviewed what he's learned about cells the past two weeks, and I had dinner made by someone else. Win, win!! I am linking up at Science Sunday at Adventures in Mommydom.
