Our local library has a story and craft time for homeschool children every Wednesday afternoon. A library host reads one chapter of a chapter book, and three or four other fun books to the kids. Then they get to do a small craft. The trick is to do a craft that younger and older kids, alike, can do.
This week the kids were treated by one of the moms and her daughter by getting to decorate pumpkin cookies. This mom and her daughter are cake designers and compete nationally. She explained the process to the kids and let them create.
And, of course, the best part was eating the creation.
Brynne is really enjoying this weekly library event! She reminded me every day this week about it so that I wouldn't forget.

We all know that in this crazy world of homeschooling, we need all the (adult) support we can get. Please leave a comment if you so wish!
